W. Johnston “John” Rowe, Jr. D.D.S.
Dr. John Rowe, originally from Atlanta, Georgia has unparalleled experience in smile design and functional aesthetic dentistry. As one of the most highly trained and highly credentialed dentists in the mid south region, he has extensive post-graduate training in cosmetic dentistry with a special emphasis on smile design and veneers, cosmetic bonding, dental implants, and cosmetic dentures. He is a trained artist having graduated from Washington and Lee University in Lexington, Virginia with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Studio Art in 1995. The way he sees it, each smile is a work of art, and it is his passion to exercise his vast knowledge and talent to give you your very dream smile.
Before graduating from the University of Tennessee College of Dentistry with the Doctor of Dental Surgery degree in 2000, he was honored by being inducted into the IMHOTEP Leadership Society. Dr. John had previously worked for the Viral Immunology Research Department for the Center for Disease Control and Prevention in Atlanta. He is a three-time NCAA All-American swimmer and a member of Pi Kappa Alpha Fraternity.
Outside of smile makeovers and clinical dentistry, one of Dr. John's professional passions is the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry (AACD). Since graduating from dental school, his ultimate professional goal was to earn the Accreditation Credential from the AACD (www.aacd.com). When he reached his goal of accreditation in 2010, he was the youngest member to have ever been accredited by the AACD. He currently serves as a board member of the American Board of Cosmetic Dentistry, and serves as examiner for the AACD, where he evaluates and judges other prospective candidates for the accreditation credential. When not hard at work creating beautiful smiles, Dr. John enjoys spending time with his daughters, hunting and experiencing the outdoors. He particularly loves duck hunting with his black lab ‘Jackson.’ He also enjoys fishing, outdoor photography, and chatting on-line with other dental professionals throughout the U.S.
Kristy Roberts Rowe, D.D.S.
Dr. Kristy Roberts Rowe is a native of Northeast Arkansas, having grown up in Harrisburg. She shares the excitement, vision, and leadership of Rowe & Rowe Smile Studio, PA with her husband Dr. John. She has pursued many hours of advanced education in cosmetic dentistry with a special emphasis on smile design and client-centered treatment. Dr. Kristy is also extremely well versed in the area of sleep apnea treatments, orthodontics, and TMJ disorders, having devoted herself to extensive advanced education and treatment of these many times complicated health issues.
She says, "I just love seeing patients' faces light up with a beautiful smile when they are finally able to smile the smile of their dreams, or they no longer have jaw pain or headaches, or they've finally gotten a good night of sleep after having used an oral appliance to treat their sleep apnea -- to me, life is about the joy of helping people!"
Dr. Kristy's scientific background with a Bachelor of Science in Microbiology from the University of Arkansas in 1996 is the perfect compliment to Dr. John Rowe's aesthetic talents. Dr. Kristy says that her love for the Razorbacks and Kappa Delta sorority allowed her to have an amazing college experience! Furthermore, she graduated from the University of Tennessee College Of Dentistry with honors while obtaining her Doctor of Dental Surgery Degree in 2000. Upon graduating from the University of Tennessee, Dr. Kristy was awarded the International College of Dentistry Achievement Award.
Outside of work, Dr. Kristy's true passion is her family and close friends! She says that she really enjoys spending quality time with her family and friends, traveling, reading, interior decorating, and shopping -- especially for shoes and purses, and of course anything for their daughters! She also loves animals -- particularly Jackson, the family black lab.
